The Grimsley PTSA welcomes you to Whirlie Country. Grimsley's 100+ year tradition of excellence reflects the blending of three key components: an outstanding staff, motivated students, and involved parents. Your involvement is an integral part of your own child's success and the continued success of our school. Our PTSA activities are aimed at ensuring the school and home work closely to create an environment in which all students can develop their individual talents and be prepared to enter the real world equipped for the future. We hope that all parents will demonstrate their interest in their children's education through joining the PTSA (see Membership) and attending the general PTSA meetings. Recognizing that parent involvement is dependent on good communication, our PTSA publishes a newsletter approximately every six weeks. The newsletters are mailed to every student's home to be certain they are received. Each newsletter contains information on events, accomplishments, and opportunities at Grimsley, as well as how you can volunteer to help with the many PTSA activities, such as Our Whirlie Nation Celebration, Meet & Greet in the Grove, Hospitality, Main Office support, beautification, test proctoring, Project Graduation, and fundraising. Please join us in our efforts to ensure that Grimsley High School continues its long tradition of excellence. Are you interested in serving on the GHS Leadership Team? The purpose of the Leadership Team is to be a decision-making body that governs the overall vision & mission of the educational, social & safety processes at Grimsley High School. The team meets twice a month throughout the school year. Please contact Valerie Stern, sstern@triad.rr.com, if you are interested.
